“Sunset on the lake” by Derna de Capite

Derna De Capite was born in Lecco and studied at the painting faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts “Aldo Galli” in Como. De Capite draws inspiration from the form and pursuit of human body’s perfection as depicted in the works of the Masters, such as Raffaello and Michelangelo. De Capite also takes inspiration from symbolist painters, such as Van Gogh, Nolde, Gaugin and Moreau. She creates extremely realistic portraits and has a particular interest in the study of color rendering.
